Allen V. George
Treasurer
Mr. Allen V. George was born and raised in West Georgia. He is a graduate of West Georgia College with a BBA in Accounting.
From 1967 to 1974, he worked during summers as a laborer and carpenter layout man on residential and light commercial construction jobs.
Prior to joining Benning Consruction Company, Mr. George was employed by Southwire Company and its subsidiary, Richards & Associates, (1974 - 1983) in various financial and accounting positions. These duties included conducting internal audits, maintaining a perpetual inventory system, development standard cost, and preparing financial statements at operational, divisional, and corporate levels. From 1983 to 1985, he was employed by Stratton & Company as controller, supervised all the accounting staff, prepared financial statements, job cost reports, various government reports and tax returns.
From 1985 to present, Mr. George has been employed by Benning Construction Company in various capacities starting as a staff accountant and progressing to Treasurer.
